Child Advocacy Center
The Center was established to enhance the coordination and implementation of special services required by children of sexual abuse, children in foster care, and at-risk children as well as educating and supporting those who care for them.

As an associate member of the National Children’s Alliance, our CAC (Child Advocacy Center) process brings together a team of professionals from the prosecutor’s office, law enforcement, victim’s assistance, mental and medical healthcare, social work, and Center staff to create the best possible outcome for sexually abused children

Using the CAC process prevents children from being traumatized by the system and is more effective in prosecuting offenders.  A video documented process eliminates the need for multiple agency interviews.

Caregiver Support Programs
Non-offending caregivers (parents and guardians) and foster care families caring for abused and neglected children require support just as neglected and abused children require support to insure long-term healing and recovery. The Center partners with Job and Family services to offer a safe, friendly and comfortable site for supervised visitation for children in foster care.

Community Prevention Education
The Center is proud to provide Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children training to the Medina County Community. Stewards of Children  is a revolutionary evidence-based sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, and motivates them to courageous action. The Stewards of Children program is designed for organizations that serve children and youth, and any/all adults interested in protecting children.

The curriculum can be used by organizations and corporations who are:
  • Seeking evidence-based training for staff and volunteers in the prevention of child sexual abuse.
  • Wanting to make a difference in their community by educating adults about the protection of children.
  • Needing to respond to insurance requirements regarding child protection.
  • Wanting to enhance community training initiatives and develop potential sources of revenue.
